#25 More lying and buckets

1)  I think Abe stole the candy bar. Earl and Dan's statement oppose each other, if Earl is lying then Abe is lying and then so is Jack or Rex. Which would make 3 liars, but there can be only 2 liars, and if Earl is telling the truth then half of what Dan said has to be false, the first part he says "Abe's statement is not true;" then once again Jack, Rex, and Dan would have to be liars making 3 which means the first part is true and the second part "one of them is lying and the other is speaking the truth," is false. Making Abe's statement false "Both Rex and Jack are lying," meaning both Jack and Rex to be the truth tellers.
So Jack, Rex, and Earl are telling the truth.
Leaving Abe and Dan to be the liars, but because what Jack said "It was Rex or Abe," and Rex is the truth teller then it has to be Abe who took the candy bar.

2)You have two buckets one holds 3 gallons and the other holds 5 gallons.  How could you get exactly 4 gallons?

Fill the 3 gallon bucket, pour it into the 5 gallon bucket, and then fill the 3 gallon bucket and pour as much as you can into the 5 gallon bucket, leaving 1 gallon in the 3 gallon bucket. Dump out the 5 gallon bucket, and pour the 1 gallon into the 5 gallon bucket, then fill the 3 gallon bucket ad dump the 3 gallons of water into the 5 gallon bucket, leaving 4 gallons in the 5 gallon bucket.

3) You have two buckets one holds 4 gallons and the other holds 7 gallons.  How could you get exactly 5 gallons?

To get to 5 gallons you have to fill the 4 gallon bucket, then pour it into the 7 gallon bucket.
Fill up the 4 gallon bucket again and pour as much as you can into the 7 gallon bucket, leaving 1 gallon in the 4 gallon bucket. Then dump out the 7 gallon bucket and pour the 1 gallon from the 4 gallon bucket into the 7 gallon bucket, fill the 4 gallon bucket up and dumb it into the 7 gallon bucket making 5 gallons in total in the 7 gallon bucket.

#27 Stranded part 2

#1 Solarbag Water Purifier $77.51
#2 Coleman 4-Person Instant Tent $74.99
#3 Chef Boyardee $18.89

#4 Tomahawk Ninja Machete $18.00

#5 Coghlan's 0940BP Waterproof Matches $4.70  x 3 =$14.01
=203.49

I choose these items to survive on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean for 6 months because they'd help me survive. With the water purifier I'd have fresh water. With the tent I'd have protection from weather and a safe warm place to sleep and live. With the chef boyardee I'd have my food and with the machete I'd have protection and a tool to gut an animal and hunt one to. Then with the matches I could start a fire to keep warm, warm my food, purify water,a and to cook an animal I caught.

#29 My Career

When I'm thirty I see myself owning and running my own restaurant and bar. To achieve that goal I've taken out of school culinary classes. I've also taken a management course and have my food handlers card. Ever since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of owning my own restaurant. I grew up around food, my parents have both attended culinary classes and love food.

By the time I'm thirty I want to have my masters in culinary, and my bar tenders license. I want to then start to develop the design of the place. I want to then find a location for my business. Then make a overview of when it will be ready how it looks and smaller details like that and look for a potential business partner. Which will hopefully help me financially wise and give me a push in the right direction. If you want to know more about a culinary career path click here.

#28 Bucket List

1# Open a restaurant and bar,I've always wanted to open and run my own restaurant, that's my goal in life after college.
#2 Have children,When I'm older I want a least 2 kids, hopefully a boy and girl, but I'll take what I get.
#3 Travel to Paris,I've always heard about how beautiful Pairs is, and I've always wanted to go.
#4 Sky dive, I want to go skydiving it seems like it would be amazing and daring.
#5 Learn to ice skate, ice skating look hard to learn but looks like a fun sport.

#26 Stranded

I'd bring a lifetime supply of matches. So I could easily start a fire, to eat and keep warm. It could also be used for light and to signal a passing boat or airplane.

The next thing i'd bring is a tent. You need to keep out of the sun or you could get badly burned. It'd be good if it rained. Also give you a place to feel safe and warmer.

The last but not least thing I'd bring is a knife. One you could use it to protect yourself from an animal. Two use it to hunt. Three you could use it to carve something out of wood and to gut an animal to eat.

#23 My Top Five Wiches

#1 The Grinder
The grinder has 3 different meats, capicola, salami, and pepperoni. It fills you up, and great with pretty much anything. It was the first sandwich I tried at Which Wich and could eat it all day every day.

#2 The Club
The club has 3 meats, turkey, ham, and bacon. It's not as heavy as the grinder and fills you up all day. Makes the best salad too.

#3 The Turkeywich
The turkeywich, coleslaw and thousand island dressing. Sounds really weird but actually is killer amazing. I have eaten this sandwich for a week straight and NEVER gotten tired of it.... Yum.

#4 The Elviswich
The elviswich is peanut butter, honey, and bacon, and if you add chocolate it become ever better. Thought I'd never try this but its actually good, as long as your in the mood for a sweet thing. When I'm craving something sweet I turn to this wich.

#5 The Tomato Avocado
The tomato avocado, simple and delicious. It light, when you don't feel like meat it really its the spot. Also we have what we call a "lettucewich," where the meat is wrapped in lettuce it tastes even better.

#22 Brain Power

I'd pick the silver box, each box has a statement exactly one is true. These are the labels:
Gold box label: "The prize is in this box."
Lead box label: "The prize is not in the gold box."
Silver box label: "The prize is not in this box.”

If you can only have one true statement, then if the gold label is true, then the sliver label would also be true because the prize would be in the gold box not the silver box. So nope not in the gold box.

If the prize is in the lead box, which states that the prize is not in the gold box, so that's true because it's in the lead box, but once again the silver box statement would be true, because it is not in the silver box.......

But the silver box actually has the prize and there would be only one true statement, Gold label:  "The prize is in this box." FALSE its in the silver box, Lead box "The prize is not in the gold box" This is TRUE, and for the silver label statement it would be FALSE because "The prize is not in this box," but it is!!!!!

#21 My Conversation with James Hetfield

If I had the chance to sit down and have a conversation with one real life person that person would be James Hetfielf. Also known as the lead singer of Metallica. James has been through a lot, he made it to be a real star. I think if you were to talk to him he'd have amazing stories to tell.

He seems like a real person, not just some person who conforms to what his agent says to do or say. I absolutely love how he believes that you should be yourself. His philosophy is "think for yourself, at the end of the day, do what you think is right."  I ask him about his life, how he made it so far. I'd ask him how it feels to be a rock star, and have millions of fans drool over him.

#20 Perseverance

Something I really want to do is to open my own restaurant and bar. Its going to be an expensive and long journey but I want to accomplish it. These are the steps I plan to take to open my restaurant.

1) Get my general ed.
2) Go to a culinary institute, get a associates degree in restaurant and hospitality management.
3) Move up to a bachelor's in Culinary management.
4) Get my masters as soon as I can, while taking a job in a kitchen.
5) Get a partner who also wants to open a restaurant or take part in mine.
6) When I'm ready get the property and start designing and building the restaurant.

#18 Being Charitable

If i had one million dollars to give to any charity it would be to Mercy Home for boys and girls. Mercy Home is for child abuse. It helps children rebuild their lives, and realize their dreams. It provided programs for them to get houses, counseling, tutoring, after school classes, career resources, and even life long supports.

This charity is the most important one to me because its heart breaking to see child abuse. My best friend has been abused physically and he went through a lot of emotional issues. I used to know a boy name Shayne he was about 13 when he committed suicide because his step-mother verbally abused him, and his father ignore him. I feel this charity would raise awareness to stop abuse of children.

Even if the charity helped a few children get their lives to gather I'd be happy. It'd help them move on from the abuse and be a strong a successful person. Be something they'd think they'd never be, show them they can do it. Get through all their problems and accomplish their dreams.
